Heyy everyone!! I mean I don't think I'll post this anywhere so I guess just hey me? I've decided to keep a blog type of thing! Part of it is for focus, another is to keep track of all the activities I try to talk to my parents when they're back from their trip! It's also very therapeutic to just write and rant on about the things that happen each day. So lets get on with it!!
My tomato plants grew!! That big red one is my favourite, I named Victor after a Tim Burton movie that an old friend from school showed me. Plus I decided to name all of my Tomatoes 'V' names. Basically Lux had been looking at the plant before it started budding and was joking that the people at the plant nursery just gave me a climbing vine of some sort, and told me I should name the whole plant vine. THEN we got to talking about the character Viney from The Owl House, which I don't watch a ton by Lux really really loves it, and she's my favourite character from the parts I've seen. I also like Willow because.. plants, duh, but something about Viney just scratches my brain! Finally when the tomatoes started blooming Aspen insisted that I name the first bud Viney jr (the slightly smaller red one in the back). I decided if I was already naming one Viney I might as well stick with a theme of v-named characters. I named them Velma (scooby doo), Vanessa (Phineas and Ferb), Vicky (fairly odd parents), Veronica (Heathers), Venellope (Wreak it Ralph), Vi (Arcane), and obviously Victor (the corpse bride). The funniest part is that I don't even WATCH half these shows, but my friends like them so they're worth referencing. I did try to name one Voldemort but he stayed really tiny out of spite, I don't think he liked his villian name... I decided that Victor was my favourite because he wouldn't grow very well, and decided to wither up on me a few times, everyone knows it's the little ones that need the most love! So I picked him out, let him be my favourite, talked to him every day and now look! He's so big!!
It's pretty interesting that they're growing so well, because usually tomatoes are summer fruits, but it's still spring. It hasn't been particularly warm either so I don't see how the could've been tricked into an early bloom. Aspen planted a tomato plant too and it's barely sprouted. He was genuinely so concerned but I told them that it was completely characteristic of tomato plants and that mine was the weird one. I did plant it in different soil so that could be it? It was actually a lower nutrition soil though, because I wanted to transition back to regular untreated soil without having my skills be wonky. This has lined up with some other stuff going on, but I do not understand that crisis-waiting-to-happen enough to write about it.
It being spring, I have a massive exam coming up. Taking Ancient History is simultaneously the best and worst idea I've had. because I truly do enjoy it so much but the course-load is so heavy. I feel like I shouldn't be complaining because Cordelia would probably eat this class up (especially since my classmates are so kind) yet she's back at public school in Elsewhere town with way less classes. Imposter syndrome feelings behind, my final exam for this class is fast approaching and it is a biggie. It pretty much covers everything from 3200 BCE Egypt to the end of the middle ages in Europe in ~1400 CE. That's about 4,600 years! I'm pretty good at remembering a lot of the Rome and Greece events, my parents were pretty keen on me learning the history of our beliefs and the related countries, so a lot of my energy has been on the UK and middle ages. On the right theres some of my notes. You ever find that writing this down helps you to remember? I was going to do a full of review but I got distracted pretty quickly after the part I was concerned with. I tend to doodle on my papers a lot, so just ignore all the marks and sticky notes. Honestly none of that was even related to my studying, just to some book I was reading. I am noticing how badly that N looks like a V on the second sticky note... what was I trying to say? Right, I'm stressed about this exam but I think I'll do well since I'm familiar with a lot of it. I ought to get back to studying just in case though.
I might make another entry like this sometime, though only if I need a nice distraction or I'm really trying to be a productive little guy. Bye everyone! Everyone meaning me, again.Â
