Founded in 2015, Atlas is a group of undergraduate students at Carnegie Mellon University focused on creating a vehicle capable of navigating itself around Carnegie Mellon's iconic buggy course. Since the project's founding in the dormitory of an excited freshman, then as a part of the Carnegie Involvement Association, the Atlas Project has grown into a full-fledged university-funded student organization. We have been at the forefront of the robotic buggy competition, pushing for its incorporation into the annual Sweepstakes competition held during Carnival.
