I thoroughly enjoy relaxing in front a paint by numbers canvas or a mindfulness colouring in art book. The paintings take months and sometimes years for me to complete as I am often focused on other things in life. However, they are all around me, reminding me to come back to them and once again invite me to shift my focus onto self-care.
People often ask me what I do with all my paintings. The answer is simple... I gift them to others. As I am painting, a particular person usually comes into my mind and without me knowing it, I am painting that canvas for them. So far I have only kept one painting for myself.
It is a journey of self-reflection and awareness and it is very rewarding.
