March ATHLETE(S) OF THE MONTH!-
JESSICA LARKIN-GIRLS LACROSSE:
Coach Isberner says she has been dominating on the offensive end of the ball. She has 22 goals and 12 assists already and she is one of our captains on the team.
SEAN KOVALSKY-BOYS LACROSSE:
Coach Stamos says he leads the team in numerous categories including Goals-11, Assists (by far)-11, Ground Balls-19, and is 4th in Caused Turnovers (take aways)-6.
The stats show how he is a selfless (assists) and a BIG effort player (Ground Balls and CTs). Ground Balls are the ultimate "effort" Stat in lacrosse, and his 4th in CTs is notable because the stat is typically high for defensive players (especially long poles). Sean is an attackman whose BIG effort results in getting the ball back while still in our offensive end.

Hey everyone-Every week, I try to have a newsletter sent out and updated with information such as schedule for the week, Athlete(s) of the month, and other save the date type info, along with pictures, etc. If you could spend a few minutes to fill out the survey below, I would really appreciate it!
West Potomac Physical Night!!
Wolverine Parents,
It’s time to start planning for the 2024-25 high school sports seasons. The first step for students to be eligible to participate with any West Potomac sports teams, including tryouts, workouts and green days, is to complete a sports physical on a VHSL Pre-participation Physical Examination (PPE) form. The sports physicals for the current school year will expire on June 30th2024. The West Potomac High School Athletic Training Program will be offering sports physicals at WPHS on Thursday June, 6th. The completed physical will stay on file at school and be good for all sports participation both in and out of season for the 2024-25 school year. This event is a fundraiser for the WP Athletic Training Program and proceeds go to support student athletes in all sports. The cost of the physical is $50 and all students must register online. Register now while there is space available.
Volunteers: We are always looking for medical and non-medical volunteers to assist us for the event. If you are interested in helping out (and will be available from 5 – 8pm on 6/6) click on this link to register as a volunteer. You will be given more information as we get closer to the night.

West Potomac Athletic Booster Youth Sports Camp
We are excited to offer a Youth Sports Camp during the Week of June 24th through June 28th. The campers will get to participate in sports such as Volleyball, Golf, Basketball, Baseball, Softball, Field Hockey, and more! They will be led by our coaches and student-athletes! Tentative Schedule is:
9-10:30ish – Golf and Field Hockey
10:30-12:00 – Softball and baseball
12:00 – 1:00 – Lunch
1:00 – 2:30 – basketball (girls and boys)
2:30-4:00 – Volleyball
