If you want a seamless, high-resolution digital cockpit upgrade for your Mercedes-Benz E-Class with modern multitasking capabilities, choose ASVEGE Dual Screen Radio; if you need rugged off-road navigation and audiophile-grade sound customization for your Jeep Wrangler or Gladiator, choose Showasaki LINKSWELL GEN6.
• ASVEGE Dual Screen Radio: Delivers a stunning dual 12.3-inch IPS display experience with an Android 13 OS and massive 8GB RAM, but is strictly limited to the Mercedes-Benz E W213 chassis (2017–2019).
• Best For: The ASVEGE is the clear winner for luxury sedan owners seeking a factory-fresh, futuristic dashboard overhaul, while the Showasaki is the definitive choice for SUV owners who prioritize trail-ready features and superior sound engineering over screen count.
The ASVEGE Dual Screen Radio is engineered specifically for the discerning owner of a Mercedes-Benz E W213 from model years 2017 through 2019. This isn't just a standard radio replacement; it is a complete visual transformation designed to bring the vehicle up to modern standards without compromising the original interior aesthetic. The defining feature here is the hardware itself: two large 12.3-inch IPS screens that boast a resolution of 1920 by 1200 pixels. This dual-screen setup allows for a level of information density that single-screen units simply cannot match. You can have navigation on one side and media controls on the other, or split the view entirely to monitor rear-camera feeds while driving.
Under the hood, this unit leverages an 8-core processor paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. In practical terms, this means the interface feels incredibly responsive. When you boot up the device, the "2S Fast Boot" feature ensures you aren't staring at a loading screen while trying to get to work. The system runs on Android 13.0, which is one of the most current operating systems available in this category. This translates to better app compatibility, smoother scrolling, and a more secure environment for your data. If you are someone who relies heavily on smartphone integration, the wireless CarPlay and Android Auto support is a game-changer, allowing you to keep your phone connected via Bluetooth while using the car's speakers and screen for calls and maps.
However, this product is not for everyone. It is strictly compatible with left-hand drive Mercedes-Benz E W213 models. If you own a different make, a different model year outside the 2017–2019 window, or a right-hand drive vehicle, this unit will not fit your dashboard or interface with your car's electronics. Furthermore, while it supports the original factory rear camera and even 360-degree cameras, the user must be comfortable with a specific installation process that integrates with the existing Mercedes wiring harness. It is also worth noting the connectivity trade-off: while you can use WiFi for internet browsing, the system disconnects WiFi when you activate wireless CarPlay or Android Auto. This is a technical limitation of the software architecture rather than a design flaw, but it is something to consider if you plan to stream music from a cloud service simultaneously with navigation apps.
This radio is ideal for the daily commuter who wants their luxury car to feel brand new. It replaces the aging factory infotainment system with a crisp, bright, and fast interface that handles multiple tasks without lag. The inclusion of steering wheel control support ensures you don't lose the convenience of controlling volume and tracks from the wheel. It is also OTA (Over-The-Air) upgrade capable, meaning the manufacturer can push updates to improve performance or add features without needing a trip to a shop. If your priority is visual clarity, processing speed, and a premium look that mimics the latest digital instrument clusters, this is the solution you have been looking for.

The Showasaki LINKSWELL GEN6 is built with a completely different philosophy in mind. While the ASVEGE focuses on visual spectacle for a luxury sedan, the LINKSWELL GEN6 is crafted for the active lifestyle of the Jeep Wrangler JL and Gladiator JT owner. Designed specifically for Jeep Wrangler models from 2018 to 2021 and the Gladiator from 2020 to 2021, this unit understands that its target audience needs reliability in harsh environments. The primary strength here lies in its ability to function as a dedicated command center for off-roading. Unlike many standard head units that rely solely on Bluetooth tethering, this system offers flexibility for remote areas.
Audio quality is another area where this unit shines brightly. Many aftermarket radios cut corners on amplification, but the LINKSWELL GEN6 includes a built-in Digital Signal Processor (DSP) and a 4x50W amplifier. This isn't just about turning up the volume; it is about shaping the sound. With a 16-band equalizer, subwoofer control, and 4V RCA preouts, you have granular control over every frequency. Whether you are blasting rock music on a highway or listening to subtle engine sounds and nature during a trail ride, the DSP ensures clarity and depth that stock systems often lack. The inclusion of on-screen climate controls is also a significant practical addition for Jeep owners who frequently remove doors or windows, making temperature adjustments easier without fumbling with physical buttons.
The hardware specs tell a story of balance rather than raw power. Running on Android 11 with a Qualcomm 8-core processor, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of storage, this unit is efficient and stable. While 4GB of RAM might seem lower compared to the 8GB found in the ASVEGE, it is more than sufficient for running navigation apps, CarPlay, and Android Auto smoothly. The system supports plug-and-play wiring harnesses, which significantly reduces installation time and complexity. This means you retain your factory reverse camera functionality without needing complex adapters or professional modification. The unit also supports wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, keeping your smartphone integration seamless whether you are stuck in traffic or navigating a rocky trail.
This product is perfect for the adventure seeker who values audio fidelity and connectivity reliability over having a second screen. It is designed to handle the vibration and dust of off-road driving while providing a smart hub for your journey. If you drive a Jeep and find yourself constantly frustrated by the lack of sound quality or the inability to get GPS signals when off-grid, this unit addresses those pain points directly. It turns the dashboard into a versatile tool that serves both the road warrior and the weekend explorer.
• Best for Visual Impact → ASVEGE Dual Screen Radio wins hands down with its dual 12.3-inch displays and higher resolution, creating a futuristic dashboard that dominates the cabin.
• Best for Audiophiles → Showasaki LINKSWELL GEN6 is the superior choice, featuring a built-in DSP, 4x50W amp, and 16-band EQ for precise sound tuning that the ASVEGE lacks.
• Best for Raw Processing Speed → ASVEGE Dual Screen Radio edges ahead with Android 13 and 8GB of RAM, offering faster app loading and smoother multitasking for tech-heavy users.
• Best for Climate Control Integration → Showasaki LINKSWELL GEN6 stands out with on-screen climate controls, a vital feature for Jeep owners who modify their vehicles.
• Best for Future-Proofing Software → ASVEGE Dual Screen Radio uses the newer Android 13 OS, likely to receive longer support and access to newer app versions compared to Android 11.
• Best for Audio Output Customization → Showasaki LINKSWELL GEN6 provides 4V RCA preouts and subwoofer control, giving advanced users the ability to connect external amplifiers and subwoofers easily.
• Best for Simple Installation → Both offer plug-and-play harnesses, but Showasaki emphasizes quick support via Amazon chat, which can be reassuring for DIY installers working on Jeeps.
After analyzing the specifications and intended use cases for both devices, I would personally buy the Showasaki LINKSWELL GEN6 if I were an SUV owner. While the ASVEGE Dual Screen Radio is undeniably impressive with its dual screens and cutting-edge Android 13, it is locked into a very specific luxury sedan niche. The Showasaki, however, addresses the unique challenges of the Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator market with features that actually matter on the trail. For the typical SUV owner who spends time on roads that go beyond the city limits, the practical utility and audio superiority of the LINKSWELL GEN6 outweigh the visual novelty of a second screen.
No, the ASVEGE Dual Screen Radio is strictly designed for the Mercedes-Benz E W213 generation manufactured between 2017 and 2019. It is not compatible with earlier or later model years, nor does it fit other Mercedes models like the C-Class or S-Class.
This allows you to run Google Maps, Waze, and other data-driven apps independently of your smartphone's hotspot or connection.
The Showasaki LINKSWELL GEN6 offers significantly better audio customization with its built-in 4x50W amplifier, DSP equalizer, 16-band EQ, and subwoofer control. The ASVEGE focuses more on video output and general multimedia playback without specialized audio tuning hardware.
Both units are marketed as plug-and-play solutions that utilize the vehicle's existing wiring harnesses. The ASVEGE retains factory camera support, while the Showasaki keeps the factory reverse camera, minimizing the need for additional wiring kits beyond what is included in the box.
