Chess Daily is a fully offline Android chess application. We collect nothing, store nothing on servers, and share nothing with anyone.

1. WHO WE ARE
Chess Daily is an independent Android application designed for offline chess play and daily skill improvement. It is developed and maintained by an independent developer. If you have any privacy-related questions, you may contact us at the address provided at the bottom of this page.
2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
Chess Daily does NOT collect, transmit, or store any personal information on external servers. The application requires no internet connection and has no network permission declared in its manifest.
The only data that exists is stored locally on your own device using Android's SharedPreferences:
- Game statistics (wins, losses, draws, games played)
- Daily goal completion status
- Current and best streak counters
- User preferences (theme, difficulty)
- Privacy consent acknowledgement flag
This data never leaves your device. It is inaccessible to us or any third party.
3. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
Chess Daily contains no third-party SDKs, analytics libraries, advertising networks, or crash-reporting services of any kind.
- No Google Analytics or Firebase
- No AdMob or any advertising SDK
- No Facebook SDK or social sign-in
- No Crashlytics or Sentry
- No in-app purchases or billing SDK
4. COOKIES AND TRACKING
Chess Daily is a native Android application. It does not use cookies, web beacons, pixel tags, fingerprinting, or any other tracking technology.
5. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
Chess Daily is rated Everyone (PEGI 3) and is suitable for all ages. Because we collect no personal data, there is no risk of collecting data from children under the age of 13 (COPPA) or under 16 (GDPR Article 8). Parents and guardians can allow children to use this application with full confidence.
6. YOUR GDPR RIGHTS
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):
- Right of Access (Art. 15): You may request a copy of any data we hold about you. We hold none.
- Right to Rectification (Art. 16): You may correct inaccurate data. All data lives locally and you control it directly.
- Right to Erasure (Art. 17): You may delete all local data at any time via Settings → Reset All Data.
- Right to Restrict Processing (Art. 18): No processing occurs on our end.
- Right to Data Portability (Art. 20): Local data is stored on your device; you own it entirely.
- Right to Object (Art. 21): No profiling or automated decision-making is performed.
Since we do not process personal data, a formal Data Protection Officer (DPO) is not required. For any questions, contact us directly.
7. DATA DELETION
You can erase all locally stored data at any time without contacting us:
1. Open Chess Daily on your device
2. Navigate to Settings
3. Tap "Reset All Data"
4. Confirm the action in the dialog
Alternatively, uninstalling the application from your device permanently removes all associated local data.
8. SECURITY
Because no data is transmitted over a network, there is no data in transit to protect. Local data is stored using Android's SharedPreferences, which is sandboxed to the application and inaccessible to other apps on a standard (non-rooted) device.
9. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by an updated "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the application after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
