Warehouse Throughput Optimization

This was the first project Asteroide worked on during his summer internship at Opex Analytics in 2018. He implemented a Python program for evening throughput while consolidating routes and meeting daily demand. By the end of his second day working on this project, he delivered a first prototype of his solution. He modeled the problem as a mixed integer linear program (MILP) which was solved using the open source solver Pulp. His final program reduced transportation cost by 18% over six months of historical data from three warehouses.
