Milton Glaser was an American graphic designer known for creating the famous "I Love New York" graphic, logos for DC Comics, and other graphics we see in our daily lives.
He was born in The Bronx in 1929 to Hungarian Jewish immigrants. He took drawing classes with artists Raphael and Moses Soyer and would eventually attend the High School of Music & Art in Manhattan.
Glaser has also worked with typography, using his name for his own typeface, Glaser Stencil, in 1970. He has created a handful of other fonts as well.
Through recognizing artists such as Milton Glaser, we recognize the source of the imagery we consume on a daily basis.
