The task contains two parts.

First is preparation. You can practice the text for 35 or 40 seconds. Focus on reading and understanding the text. Reading in your mind may not help when you practice as some words may not be clear. Use your voice while practicing.

Second is recording. Given you will have an understanding of text by now, read the text aloud while recording as if you are communicating with someone.

You need to take pause when there are full stops, semi colons and commas.

Focus on the context.

What needs to be communicated by the speaker in terms of importance? Stress on keywords. To make the listener clearly understand about the subject, speaker may often focus on the first few words which can be slow and loud comparatively. Also there can be a pause after these first few words.

Also think about the words which are not stressed like conjunctions. Don't give much importance to these words and avoid stresses on them by saying them quickly enough.

Scores depends on three factors.

Content-

Read the words as accurately as possible given in the text. If students read the words as accurately as it is given in the text, it will definitely boots high score in exam.

Fluency:

Read at a good rate as you are trying to communicate the information to others not merely listing the words or perfecting each word. While speaking if test takers read the given text fluently, it will surely enhance the score and students will be able to achieve desirable scores in PTE speaking.

Pronunciation:

You will be evaluated on the ease at which your spoken English is understandable and to the extent is relatable to native English. Make sure while PTE speaking exam , words should be pronunce properly as it is key factor to grap high scores.
