Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how AssetPal handles your data and what information we collect, if any.
AssetPal collects and stores the following information that you enter into the app:
Asset information (name, type, brand, model, purchase details)
Employee information (name, department, employee number)
Maintenance records (dates, descriptions, costs)
Asset assignments and status information
The app automatically generates:
Unique asset IDs for each asset
Creation timestamps
Depreciation calculations
Warranty expiration dates
All information collected by AssetPal is used solely for the purpose of:
Managing and tracking your office assets
Providing asset assignment and status features
Generating statistics and reports
Creating barcodes for asset identification
All your data is stored locally on your device. AssetPal uses iOS UserDefaults to store your information. This means:
Your data never leaves your device
No cloud services or external servers are used
No internet connection is required for the app to function
Your data is only accessible on the device where it was created
If you have iCloud Backup enabled on your device, your app data may be included in your device backup. This is controlled by your iOS backup settings, not by our app.
We do not share, sell, or transmit your data to any third parties. AssetPal:
Does not collect analytics data
Does not use advertising services
Does not connect to external servers
Does not transmit data over the internet
When you use the barcode sharing feature, you can export barcode images through iOS sharing options (AirDrop, email, etc.). This sharing is:
Completely optional and user-initiated
Only shares the barcode image and asset name/ID
Uses iOS native sharing mechanisms
Does not transmit data to our servers
AssetPal may request the following permissions:
Photo Library Access (optional): Only if you choose to save barcode images to your photo library
All permissions are optional and only requested when you use features that require them.
You can delete your data at any time by:
Deleting individual assets or employees within the app
Uninstalling the app (which removes all local data)
Since all data is stored locally, deleting the app will permanently remove all your information.
AssetPal is designed for business use and is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
You have the right to:
Access all data stored in the app
Modify or delete any data you have entered
Export your data (via barcode sharing or manual entry)
Delete all data by uninstalling the app
We take data security seriously. Since all data is stored locally on your device:
Your data is protected by your device's security measures
We recommend using device passcodes and biometric authentication
No data transmission means no risk of interception
AssetPal does not integrate with any third-party services, analytics platforms, or advertising networks.
