Both teams completed their races, but with varying degrees of succes.

The #027 team started the race 18th in class, but had multiple incidents throughout the race that required lengthy repairs. The race was incident free until around the eleven hour mark when the HPD tapped the wall through the Porsche Curves. While there was minimal damage, the steering was off by a few degrees. It was only a few stints later before the race came off the rails. Suffering through the steering issues, the car hit the wall on the approach to Indianapolis. A similar incident happened a few stints later, and a run in with an LMP1 sent the team down the standings. After running as high as 10th in class, the #027 team finished 15th in class.

The #081 team had a much more successful event. The team started ninth and had worked their way up to third in class before their first major incident of the race. The incident required laps worth of repairs and the team fell down to eleventh. Despite that incident, the #081 team would claw their back up the standings with some excellent driving and shrewed fuel strategy. The pace and incident free nature of their race would see the team finish a superb sixth in class.
