The Department of Public Safety is a special qualification within ASP. The unit is tasked with various duties including, Commercial Vehicle Inspections, Roadside Drug, and Alcohol Testing, Random Traffic Checkpoints, Enforcing Click it or Ticket, and Slow Down or Move Over Laws, Motor Cades & Pursuits with specialized H.E.A.T units.
