ASPEN LAB
Advanced Signal Processing in Engineering and Neuroscience
Our research primarily focuses on the development of techniques to analyze and decode neural signals for brain-computer interfaces and other neural engineering applications. We are also involved in other biomedical and general signal processing projects.
A Brain-Computer Interface (BCI) is a system that interprets direct measurements of a individual's brain activity to produce an actionable output. BCIs and related technologies can be used in assistive, rehabilitative, augmentative, diagnostic, or therapeutic applications.
