Alabama School Library Association

ASLA recognizes that limiting the school library program deprives students of rich learning opportunities, jeopardizes academic and reading achievement, and perpetuates educational inequities. ASLA believes that all school library programs in Alabama CAN and SHOULD continue to be provided in a safe and flexible way.

As the professional school library organization for the state of Alabama, ASLA is supporting the following safety precautions and guidance in order to operate safely in pandemic learning conditions while still supporting literacy and education in the school environment.

Join this professional organization comprised of school library media specialists, administrators, curriculum specialists, teachers, students, and other educators who are passionate about bettering school libraries.
