EdCamp ASLA

join us for an Edcamp

The Alabama School Library Association in collaboration with the Children's and School Librarian's Division of the Alabama Library Association will be holding EdCamp at Homewood Public Library February 15th, 2019 from 9:00 am-3:00pm. Breakfast and snacks will be provided, as well as a long lunch break for you to grab lunch with your colleagues around Homewood.

What's an edcamp?

An EdCamp is a unique model for designing professional development that is attendee driven to better meet the immediate needs of participants. EdCamps operate like an unconference that is educator-driven and educator-led. This year's EdCamp ASLA is in partnership with ALLA's Children's and School Library Division, so it will be driven and led by children's and teen librarians whether they work in public libraries or schools. Edcamps are about learning from each other, sharing resources, sharing ideas. It's not a one-size-fits-all professional development. The conversations and learning are determined by the attendees.
