Scott joins his mother, Karlene, as well as Kodi, Benjamin, and Tigger, all of whom have been awaiting his arrival. Scott leaves behind a family of hundreds - too numerous to mention all of them individually - because to him, all who entered his life were family. Scott was an Air Force veteran who especially loved planes. He'd rush outside to see what kind of aircraft was Flying over the house and wave. He was so happy when the Ospreys flew. At an air show he'd lay his hands on the wheel well of a C-5 and pet it like it was his.Scott freely offered his heart to everyone. He was never too busy to be a friend. His smile was infectious and his love particularly seen with animals of all types and sizes."Can I say hi?" was his greeting when approaching a dog owner.
He saw the beauty in all things large or small, right down to the tiniest colorful insect or snake. He was the animal whisperer...he was the people whisperer. A memorial service was held on Thursday, December 8, 2016 at Ebenezer United Methodist Church, 161 Embrey Mill Rd., Stafford, VA 22554, followed by a feast of celebration in the event hall at Ebenezer.
Mandatory dress code for both the service and the feast was casual. (Suits and ties prohibited.)
