If you want a versatile, washable sleep headband with a built-in microphone and a longer 12-hour battery life for active users or parents needing to manage calls, choose ASIILOVI Sleeping Headphones Headband; if you need a dedicated, ultra-thin device specifically engineered for side sleepers who demand zero pressure on their ears and a robust two-year warranty, choose Navly Sleep Headphones.
• ASIILOVI: Its biggest strength is the versatile 3-in-1 design that doubles as a sleep mask and workout headband, featuring Bluetooth 5.4 and a 12-hour battery; its trade-off is a slightly thicker profile than specialized side-sleeper models. This pick is for parents, travelers, and active users who need a microphone and long playtime.
• Navly: Its biggest strength is the ergonomic, ultra-flat rear control unit and 4mm thin speakers designed to eliminate ear pressure for side sleepers; its trade-off is a shorter 10-hour battery life and no explicit mention of a built-in microphone in the primary feature set. This pick is for dedicated light sleepers and those who prioritize pure comfort over multi-use functionality.
The ASIILOVI Sleeping Headphones Headband (model HF013) is built around the concept of versatility without sacrificing sleep quality. At just 4.26 grams, this device is incredibly lightweight, which is a critical factor when you are lying down for hours. The material is a soft, breathable polyester that is hypoallergenic, making it suitable for people with sensitive skin. What sets this apart from standard sleep masks is the inclusion of an adjustable hook and loop closure. This means the fit can be customized for any head size, ensuring the speakers sit right where they need to be without slipping off during restless nights.
A major differentiator for this model is the presence of a built-in microphone alongside HD speakers. The product description explicitly mentions high-definition call quality, which transforms this from a simple audio device into a communication tool. For a parent who needs to take a work call while keeping an eye on a child, or for someone traveling who wants to listen to music but also answer a phone call without fumbling for a separate headset, this dual capability is essential. The speakers themselves are adjustable, allowing you to position them exactly over your ears for optimal sound isolation.
The battery performance is another strong point for the active user. With a 2-hour charge time providing over 12 hours of playing time, you can go several days between charges even with heavy use. The Bluetooth 5.4 chip ensures a stable connection up to 45 feet, meaning you can move around your bedroom or home office without losing signal. Furthermore, the ability to wash the headband by simply removing the electronic module adds significant longevity to the product. If you tend to sweat during yoga, running, or night-time workouts, knowing you can toss the fabric part in the wash makes this a hygienic choice that won't degrade quickly. It is an ideal "all-ages" gift because it bridges the gap between a sleep aid and a functional piece of tech.

Navly Sleep Headphones (model NAH001) takes a more specialized approach, focusing almost entirely on the mechanics of sleeping comfortably. The core philosophy here is eliminating pressure points. Many sleep headphones fail because the speaker units are too thick, causing pain when you lie on your side. Navly addresses this directly with 4mm thin speakers encased in soft fabric pockets. These are designed to sit flush against the head, so whether you are a back sleeper, stomach sleeper, or side sleeper, there is no uncomfortable lump pressing into your temple or cheekbone.
The design includes a rear flat-panel control unit that lies completely flat against the back of your head. This is a crucial detail for anyone who has tried other brands only to wake up with a headache from the controls digging into their skull. The fabric used is a premium blend with moisture-wicking technology, pulling sweat away from the skin to keep you dry throughout the night. This is particularly beneficial for hot sleepers or those living in humid climates. The headband is also machine washable after removing the electronic module, maintaining hygiene standards similar to the competition.
However, the focus on pure comfort comes with specific trade-offs regarding connectivity features. Instead, the emphasis is on intuitive button controls for managing volume, playback, and answering calls, though the primary narrative revolves around immersive audio for meditation, insomnia management, and travel. The battery life offers about 10 hours of playback after a 2-hour charge, which is sufficient for most overnight sessions but slightly less than the ASIILOVI option. A standout feature for risk-averse buyers is the 2-Year Reliability Promise, offering a replacement or repair plan that covers material defects, providing a sense of security that many generic competitors lack.
• Best for Side Sleepers → Navly Sleep Headphones: The 4mm thin speakers and flat rear panel are engineered specifically to prevent ear pressure, making them superior for those who cannot tolerate any bulk on their temples.
• Best for Battery Life → ASIILOVI Sleeping Headphones Headband: With a guaranteed 12 hours of playtime compared to Navly's 10 hours, ASIILOVI lasts longer on a single charge, reducing the frequency of recharging.
• Best for Calls and Microphone Use → ASIILOVI Sleeping Headphones Headband: This model explicitly features HD speakers and a mic for clear call quality, making it the only logical choice if you need to take calls while wearing the headband.
• Best for Active Lifestyles (Yoga/Running) → ASIILOVI Sleeping Headphones Headband: The combination of being washable, having a secure hook-and-loop fit, and the 12-hour battery makes it more versatile for gym sessions and outdoor activities.
• Best for Travel Privacy → Navly Sleep Headphones: The 3-in-1 design combining a sleep mask and headphones creates a total sensory barrier, ideal for blocking out noise on long-haul flights or in noisy hotels.
• Best for Long-Term Warranty → Navly Sleep Headphones: The included 2-Year Reliability Promise offers a level of post-purchase support that is not mentioned in the ASIILOVI specifications.
• Best for Wireless Range → Navly Sleep Headphones: With a stated range of up to 15 meters (approx. 50 feet), it offers slightly better freedom of movement than the 45-foot range of the ASIILOVI, though both are ample for typical room sizes.
• Best for Multi-Use Versatility → ASIILOVI Sleeping Headphones Headband: It functions effectively as a sleep mask, a workout band, and a general-purpose Bluetooth headset, whereas Navly is more focused on the sleep environment.
After weighing the specifications and design philosophies of both options, I would personally buy the ASIILOVI Sleeping Headphones Headband. The inclusion of a functional microphone combined with the extended 12-hour battery life makes it a much more practical daily driver for modern life. Whether I am trying to fall asleep to white noise, taking a quick call while working from home, or using it during a morning run, the ASIILOVI adapts to all these scenarios seamlessly. It is the smarter choice for families looking for a headphones for kids with microphone solution, as well as for adults who want one device that handles sleep, travel, and communication without compromise. While Navly is excellent for pure side-sleeping comfort, the added utility of the ASIILOVI gives it the edge in real-world value.
Neither model uses bone conduction technology; both utilize traditional dynamic drivers embedded within soft fabric pockets. However, both are excellent best headphones for travel because they block out ambient noise through physical design rather than relying on active noise cancellation, which preserves battery life.
Both devices feature removable electronic modules. To clean them, you simply detach the speakers and control units before washing the fabric headbands. ASIILOVI suggests hand washing or gentle machine cycles in a laundry bag, while Navly explicitly recommends a gentle cycle with air drying or tumble drying on low heat.
Yes, the ASIILOVI model explicitly includes a microphone for high-definition call quality. The Navly model supports answering calls via side buttons, but the product description focuses primarily on audio playback and meditation rather than emphasizing the microphone as a key feature.
For side sleepers who experience pain from pressure, the Navly Sleep Headphones are likely the better choice due to their specific 4mm thin speaker design and flat rear panel that eliminates pressure points on the back of the head.
