Human Dimensions of Global Change

Biography

I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Geography, Geology and Planning at Missouri State University. My PhD training was at Arizona State University and I garnered postdoctoral experience at the University of Michigan Ann Arbor. I work at the convergence of climate change impacts, disaster management, and sustainable development-related research. My current research focuses on agricultural sustainability, marginalization in climate adaptation, resilience against natural hazards, and land use-natural resource interactions. As a broadly trained human-environment geographer, I draw theories and concepts from a variety of disciplines, such as geography, civil engineering, political science, and public policy. I use mixed methods in my research that include statistical modeling, remote sensing, GIS, and qualitative analysis. My research aims to produce transdisciplinary knowledge that is useful to both academics and practitioners.
