Asian Season ATX is a community-focused nonprofit in Austin dedicated to celebrating and amplifying the voices of the Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) community through cultural events, markets, and artistic showcases. Asian Season ATX was founded in February 2024, but our roots in the community go back much further.
After years of working as vendors (Andy as an artist and Cedric as a baker) we realized that AANHPI creators saw significantly better engagement when we had dedicated spaces to showcase our work. We combined our unique strengths to build that space.
Andy (Creative Director) leads our creative direction and artist outreach. He has been helping organize community events with Pinoy Potluck since 2021, and now uses that experience to curate our dedicated art galleries, ensuring visual artists are always front and center. Cedric (Executive Director) handles the logistics and operations. A dedicated member and contributor to the Filipino Young Professionals since 2018, Cedric coordinates our markets, manages vendor relations, and secures our venues.
Supported by board members Joi Conti, Gaby Cantos, and Ngan Hoang, the organization is entirely volunteer-run.
Since its inception, Asian Season ATX has seen rapid growth. Their annual AAPI Month Kickoff nearly doubled in size within a year, expanding from 30 vendors to over 50 participating vendors and 20+ artists. Notable achievements include curating spaces for "Party at the People’s House" (2023–2024), partnering with Bolm Arts Studios for the "Look Mama We Made It" gallery, and serving as one of 314 Featured Art Groups in the Austin Studio Tour. They also champion social causes, collaborating on the mental health-focused "Walks of Life" show and supporting local Filipino artists via the "Tayo Na Vol 2" launch.
Asian Season ATX will be hosting numerous events in 2026 starting with a market at Riata and an art exhibit at Bolm Arts.
The organization was founded to bridge a recognized gap for the growing AANHPI creative community, establishing a dedicated space for gathering and commerce.
The dual focus ensures that alongside vendor markets, every event features a curated gallery component, driven by the Creative Director's commitment to showcasing selected, high-quality visual art.
The organization is explicitly committed to creating a welcoming space for artists, artisans, creators, and makers from the AANHPI community, recognizing and celebrating this growing demographic.
