The Next Decade of Solar Eclipse Science: Observations, Models, and Instrumentation

A three-day symposium under the aegis of the Astronomical Society of India (ASI) will focus on the scientific opportunities presented by upcoming total solar eclipses and their role in advancing our understanding of the solar atmosphere. The meeting will bring together researchers working on eclipse observations, solar atmospheric physics, numerical and computational modeling, instrumentation development, and related interdisciplinary areas. The symposium will consist of invited talks, contributed talks, poster presentations, and dedicated brainstorming sessions aimed at defining key scientific goals and observational strategies for future eclipse expeditions. A distinctive feature of the meeting is its emphasis on fostering interactions between observers, theorists, and instrument developers, enabling coordinated efforts toward the solar eclipses of 2027 and 2028.
