Dr. Ashutosh Singh is an Indian-origin experimental quantum physicist. He is currently employed as a Post Doctoral Associate in Dr. Daniel Oblak's group (Quantum Cloud Lab) at the Institute for Quantum Science and Technology, University of Calgary - Canada. He obtained a Ph.D. degree in Physics under the guidance of Prof. Urbasi Sinha at Quantum Information and Computing Lab, Light and Matter Physics Group, Raman Research Institute-Bangalore, India. His doctoral thesis was based on the "Creation, characterization, and manipulation of quantum entanglement in a photonic system". Prior to this, he obtained a Master's degree in Physics from the Indian Institute of Technology-Delhi and a B.Sc. (Hons.) in Physics from the Institute of Science- BHU, Varanasi.
His research interests and expertise include the preparation and characterization of quantum light sources, studies of quantum entanglement, decoherence in quantum systems, and the development of quantum key distribution systems.
