Major Initiatives

• 2023, Founded Kotak School of Sustainability (proposal formulation, team building, presentations to the donor at multiple levels, Senate and Board approvals, received sanction of Rs. 120 Cr from Kotak Mahindra Bank Limited)

• 2021, Founded Chandrakanta Kesavan Center for Energy Policy and Climate Solutions with a funding of USD 2.5 M (proposal formulation, team building, discussions with the donor, presentations and final approval)

• 2020, Founded the Department of Sustainable Energy Engineering (proposal formulation, team building, presentations are multiple levels internally for Senate and Board approvals)

• 2017, Founded the Department of Materials Engineering (now Metallurgical and Materials Engineering) at IIT Jodhpur
