Dr. Ashish Patel is working as Head of Department, Computer Science & Engineering and Information Technology at Shri S'ad Vidya Mandal Institute of Technology (SVMIT), Bharuch, affiliated with Gujarat Technological University (GTU), Gujarat, India. He completed his Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from Pandit Deendayal Energy University (formerly PDPU) Gandhinagar, India, his Master's degree from Birla Vishvakarma Mahavidyalaya (BVM), S. P. University, Gujarat, and his Bachelor's degree from U.V.Patel College of Engineering, Ganpat Vidyanagar, North Gujarat University, Gujarat. He has been a committee member/reviewer in many international conferences and journals. He is currently working in the area of assisted living facilities to improve the quality of independent living in a smart environment.
