PROFESSIONAL BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Ashfaq Ahmad is an Associate Professor and HEC-approved supervisor at the Department of Artificial Intelligence, School of Systems and Technology, University of Management and Technology, Lahore, Pakistan. He was awarded the CAS-TWAS President Fellowship in 2017. Under this fellowship, he earned his Ph.D. degree in Instrument Science and Technology from the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC), China (A top-ranked university in China) in 2020. He has also received professional certifications in Data Science, AI Engineering, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning. In the meantime, Dr. Ashfaq is actively engaged in research and teaching-related activities and has published more than 18 peer-reviewed articles in well-reputed international journals and conferences. He has also published a book based on power transformer short circuit stress. Furthermore, Dr. Ashfaq Ahmad is an editor and reviewer of HEC-recognized journals and an active member of the Asian Council of Science. He also has an ID on Google Scholar, ORCID, Research Gate, and Scopus Author. His research pursuits are concentrated on exploring real-life applications of Artificial Intelligence (AI) within the realm of Power Transmission and Generation Systems.  In addition to this, he has demonstrated his proficiency in robotics by successfully designing and implementing a specialized robot for restaurant applications. His major research areas are Power Engineering, Power Transmission system Modeling, Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine learning.
