Explorative student artist Asher Elizabeth Furedy was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona where she attended Shadow Mountain High School’s North Valley Arts Academy. Additionally, she was a member of the Visions art program with the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Arts. Her love for creativity and the arts began at a young age. Her memories of drawing with her mother drive her to take a hands on approach to life and art. But it wasn’t until her freshman year in high school that she began to take art seriously. Since then, she has blossomed as a creative personality.
Asher’s artwork has been featured in numerous shows over her four years of high school including First Fridays Art Festival, Paradise Valley Unified School District Paradise Valley Mall Art Show, Phoenix Fine Arts Festival, and the Shemer Art Museum. Her piece, Undertow, entered in the Shemer Emerging Artists Art Show was awarded 4 scholarships and the Student Choice award in addition to taking the District's Art Directors award at the Paradise Valley Mall Art Show in 2020. Her entry in the Veterans Heritage Project Art Contest, The Days Left In Hell, won first place and was displayed at numerous fundraising events. Asher enjoys challenging herself during projects, choosing detail oriented, personal work (often from personal photos) and takes inspiration from themes of uncertainty and the subject of family.
