As you know, there’s a baby on the way! & since we are in the final stretch I wanted to connect with details concerning maternity leave.
I will be out of the salon for the entirety of September and October, returning on November 5th to work part time for the duration of 2026. I’ll return to a full time schedule in 2027.
You may have noticed my booking site is down already. That is because my schedule is full from now until 3 days before my due date (Sept 2.) 😅 If you were hoping to get in before I have the baby you can still text me to check cancellations/last minute openings. Otherwise…
You have options while I am gone!
Option 1: I have recommendations who have the ability and availability to help. If you book with them please let me know so I can forward your formula to them.
Option 2: Want to play home hairstylist? Root touch up kits will be available while I’m on leave! All you have to do is mix your pre-measured formula together and follow the included directions on how to apply. Your first kit will include a bowl and brush to apply with. Kits are $25 and will be available to pick up at the salon beginning August 1st and continuing as long as I’m still able to work. I recommend getting them sooner than later.
Option 3: Wait it out. Not ideal for most, but if a little extra regrowth doesn’t bother you, we can schedule an appointment for my return in November.
Other things to consider:
I will not be accepting new clients until 2027. Normally I love and appreciate your referrals, but during this time, my limited availability is reserved for my existing clients.
When I return to work, it is possible I will have the baby with me at times. I appreciate your understanding while we work out the best schedule and childcare options.
While I am working part time my booking site will stay down. With limited availability, I’ll be scheduling the appointments personally to maximize my working time. During this period all appts must be booked via text or in person.
While I am working part time please be aware of a greater possibility of “double booking.” This means another client may be having their hair colored or styled while your color is processing. This will not change your results but may feel less intimate than just the two of us catching up while we wait.

I’m so grateful for each of you supporting me through my dream of motherhood coming true and this transition period. Not working a “normal” job with clear maternity leave makes it a bit more of a challenge but I’m committed to making this period as smooth as possible while honoring my new, most important role as a mom.
