We’re always looking for energetic, responsible young adults to serve as lifeguards at our pool. Teens as young as 16 can serve as lifeguards (though teens as young as 15 can complete the training with the Red Cross). Complete training requirements and a schedule of upcoming classes with the Red Cross are located here.
The Red Cross is not the only lifeguard certification recognized by Anne Arundel County. Other organizations qualified to issue lifeguard certificates include: Young Men's/Women’s Christian Association and the Boy/Girl Scouts of America (not including a lifeguard merit badge). If you have any questions, send an e-mail to the membership coordinator.
Pay: We pay our guards $9.50/hr and pay for all days they’re assigned to work. Even if our pool closes because of inclement weather, guards assigned for that day will still get paid!
For more information on life guarding opportunities, contact to Peg Overton at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We’re always in need of volunteers to help with a variety of tasks associated with running and maintaining the pool. If you’re interested in helping out, send an e-mail to the membership coordinator.
