Pruney is provided by Ashamaz Shidov ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the Pruney iOS app.
Pruney requests permission to access your Photos library so you can view accessible file sizes, filter and review media, and apply the deletion, resizing, or Live Photo conversion actions you choose. You can grant access to selected items or your full library, deny access, or change your choice in your device's Settings. Features that need library access will be unavailable or limited if you restrict permission.
With your permission, Pruney processes accessible photos, videos, Live Photos, and related information on your device. This can include file names, media types, creation dates, dimensions, durations, file sizes, favorites, album membership, and metadata contained in your media. Existing location metadata may be preserved when a replacement is saved; Pruney does not use it to track your movements.
Pruney does not send your photo library, media files, or library analysis to us or to a developer-operated server. Pruney does not require a separate user account.
Library analysis and media preparation take place on your device. Pruney creates temporary local files when preparing replacements or sharing media. It attempts to remove these files when the operation ends or the share sheet is dismissed. An interruption or storage error may leave temporary files until they are removed by the app, the operating system, or deletion of the app.
Pruney stores basic app preferences locally, including whether you have completed onboarding. Review decisions and action settings are held for the current session rather than uploaded to us.
When you apply an action, Pruney can delete selected items or save replacements to Photos and delete their originals. These changes are managed through Apple's Photos framework and may require system confirmation. Deleted originals may remain in Recently Deleted for up to 30 days unless you permanently delete them sooner. Files saved to Photos remain there after you delete Pruney. Apple's Photos and iCloud settings may independently govern backup, synchronization, and retention of your library.
If you use Share, Pruney passes the selected media to Apple's share sheet. The app, service, or recipient you choose may receive that media and its embedded metadata, including location information if present. That recipient's own privacy practices apply. Pruney does not automatically share your media with us.
Pruney Pro is an optional one-time lifetime purchase processed by Apple through the App Store. Pruney uses Apple's StoreKit framework to verify purchase transactions and determine whether Pro is unlocked, including when you restore purchases or a purchase is revoked.
We do not receive your payment card details or Apple Account password. Apple handles purchase-related information under its own policies. See Apple's App Store privacy information.
Pruney does not display third-party advertising, include third-party analytics SDKs, sell personal information, or track you across other companies' apps and websites for advertising.
Apple may provide app diagnostics and usage information according to your device's sharing settings and Apple's policies. We may use the reports Apple makes available to understand crashes and improve Pruney. You can manage diagnostic sharing in Settings under Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements. See Apple's diagnostic sharing information.
If you email us, we receive your email address, message, and any attachments you choose to send. We use this information to respond to your request, provide support, and resolve reported issues. Email service providers process these communications to deliver and store them.
We retain support correspondence only as long as reasonably needed for these purposes or to meet applicable legal obligations. Please avoid sending private photos, payment details, or other sensitive information unless needed for your request.
You can change Photos access in Settings, choose whether to share media, manage Apple's diagnostic sharing, and delete Pruney to remove its local app data. Apple-managed backups, purchase records, and files in Photos are handled separately by Apple.
You may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information you have sent directly to us. Applicable privacy laws may provide additional rights. We cannot remotely access or delete your on-device Photos library; manage those files through Photos and your device settings.
We may update this policy when Pruney's features or information-handling practices change. The updated version will be published with a revised date at the top of this page.
