ACCOUNTING STUDENTS CONFERENCE (ASC) is an event that brings together accounting students from various universities in Malaysia. The conference was initiated by the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) in line with its commitment to the development and advancement of accountancy profession in Malaysia. Since its inception in 2006, the conference has been carried out through the collaboration between MIA and Universities under Part 1 of the First Schedule to the Accountants Act, 1967. The significant elements of ASC are to develop students/ professional skills in organizing a conference such as teamwork, leadership, communication, negotiation, managerial, and entrepreneurship skills.
