Aged 14 to 18, meet Salma, Néo, Taiga and Viktor: 4 motivated students, each from a different country, with a different language, different culture, yet all driven by a same goal - providing a better healthcare to society - came together and founded ASAP drones.
ASAP drones started in FutureHack 2018, which is an innovation bootcamp organized by Joseph Jeong and Ning Shirakawa in which students get to discover their entrepreneurial selves and work on startup projects. But the ASAP team isn't planning on stopping there. We want to take our company to the next step and create a real change in the world.
Today, there are on average 23.3 ambulances for every 100,000 people in midsized cities, while some hospitals can get over 200 calls in a single night.
With cities that are busier than ever, it becomes increasingly difficult for emergency services to avoid traffic, which takes them 10 to 30 minutes to arrive to the scene of the injury.
On top of this, building and equipping an ambulance approximately costs 250 thousand dollars and it will cost 1 000 extra dollars for a single Advanced Life Support ambulance ride...
MEDICAL SERVICES HAVE TO GET BETTER!
Our goal is to provide first aid medical procedures as fast and safe as possible.
To do so, we are using the latest drone technology to create drones that will be equipped with all the essential medical supplies that can be used by a non professional, as well as a screen and a camera that will provide a live communication with a nurse, who will give instructions to the person assisting the injured, while waiting for the ambulance to come.
To use our services, all you'll have to do is follow these steps:
Dial our emergency line, give your location, and wait up to five minutes for the drone to reach you.
Then you'll follow the instructions given to you by the nurse on the screen and use the supplies provided in the first aid kit on the drone.
Wait for the actual ambulance to come and to take care of the rest.
A prototype for the drone is already prepared and efficient.
