The space is no longer just a classroom, but a studio for students to create something of their choice using teacher selected materials.
This is an opportunity for students to show their interests artistically and discover something new about themselves as artists.
Each student gets no more than 1 brand new piece of paper per studio day.
It can be any size, any color.
There is an UNLIMITED supply for students to use from the scrap paper bin(s).
Students will work independently at their seat.
Students may use more than one material at a time.
Students should work quietly.
Work must be school-appropriate.
Students may create more than one art project.
Paper for a second project must come from the scrap bin(s).
Students can bring in recycled materials to work with that is of their interests! Check out this donations list summary for suggestions!
Music may be played in the background by the computer, controlled by the teacher.
Students may request a song.
The privilege of music can be taken away if the class is working too loudly.
Instrumental music only!
The teacher may set up a timer and display it on the screen for students to gauge their work time.
Students may request the timer.
When the timer "ding" rings, the class should stop and turn their attention to the teacher for directions.
