Varaha

Varaha is not merely the boar who rescues Bhūmi; he is the embodiment of cosmic intervention. When the earth sinks beneath the waters of dissolution, kidnapped by the Hiranyaksha, the demon of ignorance, Vishnu takes a form that is raw, physical, and unpretentious. The artwork emphasises Varaha’s grounded strength — the idea that divinity sometimes manifests not as refinement but as brute, necessary force. The blood from his teeth and mace indicate thst he slew the demon Hiranyaksha. His act is not symbolic; it is geological. Varaha represents the principle that when the world destabilises, restoration requires entering the mud, lifting the weight, and carrying creation back to balance.
