Dhanvantari
During the Samudra Manthana, devas and asuras churned the Kṣīra‑sāgara seeking Amṛta. From the luminous depths emerged Dhanvantari, Lord Vishnu’s manifestation as the divine physician. He rose with calm grace, holding the Amṛta‑kalaśa, untouched by the surrounding chaos. The golden vessel contained the nectar of vitality and immortality. This moment marks the origin of Āyurveda, the science of life and healing. Dhanvantari is worshipped as the Āyurveda‑pravartaka, the one who brought divine medical knowledge into human hands. The artwork captures that emergence; when health, balance, and longevity entered Hindu civilisation through the blessings of Dhanvantari.
