What to get a brother-in-law for his 60th Birthday?  I mulled over this conundrum for many months, finally filtering it down to what makes him the happiest. I thought back to his wedding, many years ago, the day that I saw his profound joy, the deepest pride and overwhelming love in abundance.  There followed some secretive sleuthing by my nephew to find the image that captured all of this and was a favourite of his.  Once again, it was a challenge to capture the minutiae of the detail from a photograph on to a canvas with  oil paint on the finest brushes!
