VICTOR OVSYANNIKOV. Painting different years
Художник Виктор Овсянников. Живопись разных лет
Victor Ovsyannikov was born in 1947 in Moscow. He graduated from the Moscow Architectural Institute, where he received the basics of art education.
Victor Ovsyannikov few decades almost no paint. He devoted himself entirely scientific work related to architecture (history and theory of housing, sociology, environmental psychology). He was well known among researchers around the world, he had a large number of scientific publications, the degree of Candidate of Architecture.
Victor kept his love for drawing and painting, but rarely painted watercolors. During this time he made no more than a dozen watercolor sketches, which had little to do with today's paintings of the artist Victor Ovsyannikov.
With extensive experience, Victor Ovsyannikov became a full and original artist only in the early 2015. Since then, he has created more than 200 works in various artistic techniques and styles. It was a difficult but fruitful search for himself in the art. The artist remained faithful only to his penchant for the art of painting on water basis - watercolor and acrylic. He created his own style, which he called "syurexpressializm".
An important feature of the artist Victor Ovsyannikov is a lack of commitment to mass tastes and preferences. For him, the priority is his own vision of the world in all its beauty and complexity. Often, this vision does not coincide with the views of others. Even in many of his landscape works we see a completely different facets of the artist's character, affecting the perception of the uniqueness and emotional mood. This also applies to architectural subjects work Ovsyannikov. They are sometimes very different from the traditional concepts of architectural painting and drawing.
Victor Ovsyannikov in recent years lived alternately in different parts of the world - Russia and the United States. This fact suffered a strong imprint on his work. We can see lyrical and subtle landscapes Russia, the unique architecture of the ancient cities. Next to these works coexist clear and expressive American landscapes, views of cities in the US. The author has visited many states and cities of America, creating a series of landscape and architectural landscapes.
His works has been exhibited in various galleries and online contests. He is a prize winner of several international competitions. Many of the works purchased by art lovers and collectors.
