We present ARTIST, a novel end-to-end framework for multilingual Indic-to-English Speech-to-Speech Translation (S2ST) operating in a universal articulatory space. It utilizes a Conformer encoder with intermediate CTC supervision over source articulatory features, explicitly aligning diverse acoustic inputs with quantized, language-agnostic representations. To map these features, we introduce a Convolution-Augmented Differential Transformer decoder designed to capture both local phonetic nuances and global context. We demonstrate exceptional cross-lingual transfer across 11 Indic languages, including extreme low-resource settings (10hr/language). For instance, with only 166M parameters, ARTIST outperforms the 1.2B parameter SeamlessM4T baseline on BLEU, COMET, and chrF. ARTIST also achieves superior VRAM efficiency, establishing a high-performance paradigm for scaling direct S2ST to resource-constrained environments.
