The Welsh Language/Iaith Gymraeg hub will help shape how Artis Community Cymuned works as a fully bilingual organisation. It will invite first language Welsh speakers to implement our Welsh language strategy in an imaginative and creative way. The hub also needs to be accessible for Welsh learners and enthusiasts who will also work to develop specific projects to deliver on bilingual team working briefs, Welsh language focused events and promotion.
Following the priorities set out by the Welsh Government for the Welsh language, Artis would like to support this commitment and have made great strides in employing a 80% Welsh speaking workforce including one learner. The proposals set out as a memorandum of understanding between the Welsh government and the Language Commissioner include increasing the number of Welsh speakers to one million by 2050, doubling the daily use of the Welsh language, and maintaining Welsh-speaking communities.
• How can we ensure this hub is open and welcoming to learners as well as 1st language Welsh speakers? • How can we engage key stakeholders and partners of Welsh speaking organisations?
• How can we appropriately allocate resources to events ensuring they are accessible to non-Welsh speakers?
Produce, promote and host Artis Community’s first ever Creative Conversations event for Welsh speaking artists, practitioners and learners in the community.

• Produce and implement a timelined and budgeted marketing and digital content campaign for use on our website, social media channels and the media to promote the Welsh language Creative Conversations event.
