We're moving into spring feeling re-energized and re-committed to our movements. Keep an eye out for upcoming Art for Aid events!
Art for Aid mobilizes local artists and makers to use their craft for mutual aid and collective liberation at home and abroad. We host two types of events: 'solidarity markets' and community workshops.
When participating in our solidarity markets, artists contribute a portion of their proceeds to aid funds and grassroots organizations helping to address critical issues such as food sovereignty and disaster relief. Our workshops are more intimate spaces for community to gather and practice a variety of art-making techniques, while also raising money for movements in need. Our events offer an alternative system, where our community can support local makers while also sustaining both short-term aid and long-term social change, empowering people across the globe.

OUR GUIDING VISION AND VALUES
We envision a world where small-scale, local makers are empowered, and art inspires international solidarity, catalyzes collective action, and nurtures strong, sustainable communities. By connecting artists with important causes, Art for Aid aims to create meaningful impact and support initiatives that promote socio-ecological justice and well-being for all.
We believe in the power of community and collaboration, bringing artists together to support both local and international efforts that promote justice, care, and liberation.
We believe in destabilizing the power dynamics of traditional philanthropy. Prioritizing empathy, reciprocity, and trust, we ensure that our efforts directly benefit those who are underserved and in need by supporting community-led funds and grassroots organizations instead of large corporate charities.
We celebrate artistic expression as a powerful tool for transformation, relationship-building, and empowerment, using art to drive positive change.
We are committed to transparency and accountability in our operations, guaranteeing that your contributions to our market make a tangible difference.
We strive for a future of flourishing biocultural diversity and collective well-being, while understanding the barriers to ecological justice under global capitalism. In addition to advocating for food sovereignty and environmental stewardship, we also prioritize supporting small-scale producers.
