She explores her understanding of the world by overlapping several layers of images, which include historical, mythological, natural and cultural references. She feels that magic happens when unequal images are combined in a new and unexpected composition, with layers echoeing each other and producing undiscovered meanings.
In her series of paintings based on I Ching hexagrams (2016), Denise combines the traditional yin and yang lines with figurative images, symbols and other patterns reflecting her particular understanding. The series comprises 64 drawings on paper (12 x 12").
From Albuquerque (United States of America), her artworks are displayed in her website. They can also be found at several exhibitions, as part of different collections. She's also available for private and public requests, and offers digital impressions on clothes and different types of objects, on demand.
