Using the Roku app I can at least get 4k HDR, but I am severely hard of hearing so I need subtitles or captions. They are available for these episodes, but when I go to options/accessibility there is no way to turn them on (or off).

Thanks for the info. Pressing up was what I had actually thought at first and tried that. That would be the most logical, as when casting to TV using airplay that menu appears at the top of the screen.

However, today by accident I pressed the down button (I was actually trying to pressed the middle button and missed it, and low in behold the down button caused the subtitles and audio menu to appear at the top of the screen. Maybe my Roku is different from others, I have no idea. Your answer makes the most sense to me, but for some reason my Roku (Ultra 2018) only responds to the down button.

I use Apple TV+ app on my TCL Roku TV. What I have found is that the default captioning is set to "English SDH" but only half the captions display with this setting. I have to hit the down arrow, then down into the subtitle menu and select "English CC" for the captioning to work properly. My big complaint is that every time I exit the app and go back in, I have to perform this same step. The app Settings don't seem to retain my selection. I don't have to do this step every time I launch other video apps (Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney Channel, etc.). Apple needs to enable the option to select a CC/Subtitle setting that does not reset to the default every time the app launches. (I'm also not happy that if I pause for more than 2 or 3 minutes, it kicks me out of the video stream I'm playing and I have to resume the video and re-select my caption options.)

Arrow S04E10, I have to scroll through a list of a few hundreds subtitles, and I am still unable to find the correct one. It shows the episodes of every Arrow episode ever added, including subtitles of something else then this show.

The Same happens to me, All my files are properly named like this Title.of.Serie.S01E01

i get correct subtitle matching 6 out of 10 times. 4 out of 10 times all episodes from every season matches. This happens with each series I tried.

A manual search field would be greatly appreciated if the bug is hard to reproduce.

The experience of Infuse is really top notch except for this.

Are you saying that you had the Free version with the in-app purchase to Pro, and it behaved differently to the version which has the Pro baked in without an in-app purchase? If so that is rather strange as both routes are meant to lead to the same capabilities. I wonder if it was the deleting and re-installing that really did the trick or if there is some subtle difference between the two ways of getting to pro?

You can use the layout toolbar or a positioning keystroke to quickly set the position or justification of the current subtitle to one of the standard choices. The arrow keys can be used to set custom positions, allowing you to position each row separately anywhere on the screen.

The layout toolbar shows you the position and justification of the current subtitle as indicated by the yellow borders around the buttons. You can hover the mouse over the buttons to learn what each one does.

The lock button can be used to tie position and justification together. When this option is enabled, pressing a justification or position key will set both position and justification to the chosen value (left/centre/right). This option can be preset via the customer template if required.

You can also change the position for the current subtitle by right-clicking on the subtitle and selecting Position and justification... from the pop-up menu. The Change Subtitle Position dialog is displayed.

Subtitles are normally positioned at the bottom of the screen. However you sometimes need to raise a subtitle slightly, e.g. so that it doesn't obscure burnt-in captions. Similarly, if subtitles are positioned at the top of the screen it might be necessary to move them down slightly.

To quickly change the position and/or justification of multiple subtitles, first switch to the Compact View and select the subtitles to change. Then use the toolbar and/or keystrokes as described above. Note that you can't use the Arrow keys to customise the position of multiple subtitles. 152ee80cbc
