If you want a precise, lightweight steering component designed for the specific geometry of your 4x4 crawler, choose ARRMA Steering Block 4x4; if you need a durable, precision-machined hitch system to tow trailers or bike racks with your TRX4M, choose INJORA Aluminum Trailer Tow. These two parts serve fundamentally different mechanical roles in the world of remote-controlled vehicles, and confusing their functions will lead to a purchase that simply does not work on your rig. One is a critical internal suspension link that dictates how your wheels turn, while the other is an external accessory that transforms your vehicle into a hauler. Getting this distinction right is the difference between a smooth-running chassis and a frustrating mismatch of parts.
• ARRMA Steering Block 4x4: Its biggest strength is its exact fit for ARRMA 4x4 chassis steering geometry, ensuring perfect alignment without modification; its trade-off is that it serves only as a single internal component with no towing capability. This pick is strictly for owners of 4x4 ARRMA models needing a replacement or upgrade for their steering linkage.
• INJORA Aluminum Trailer Tow: Its biggest strength lies in its CNC-machined aluminum construction and integrated brass ball, offering robust durability for hauling loads like bike racks; its trade-off is that it is a small, specialized accessory that cannot replace core steering components. This pick is ideal for hobbyists looking to expand their TRX4M's utility beyond simple crawling.
• The ARRMA part is about restoring or refining the core driving dynamics of a specific brand's vehicle.
• The INJORA part is about adding new functionality and versatility to a compatible platform.
• If your goal is pure handling precision, the ARRMA block is the only logical choice.
• If your goal is to attach cargo or trailers, the INJORA hitch is the necessary tool.
The ARRMA Steering Block 4x4 is a specialized piece of hardware designed with one singular purpose: to act as the pivot point for the steering knuckles on specific 4x4 scale trucks. When you look at the specifications, the dimensions stand out immediately. Measuring roughly 1.26 x 4 x 2.5 inches, this component is engineered to fit the specific mounting points and angles required by the ARAC9359 model. It is not a universal part that can be swapped into just any vehicle; it is a bespoke solution for the geometry of the ARRMA 4x4 line.
This part is essential for anyone who has experienced wear and tear on their original steering block or perhaps suffered a breakage during a tough run. Because it is manufactured by ARRMA specifically for their own chassis, the tolerances are tight. You do not need to worry about shimming or filing down mounting holes because the manufacturer has already accounted for the exact spacing required for the steering arms to function correctly. The "Medium" size designation indicates it is built for the mid-range scale of these vehicles, providing a balance between structural integrity and the ability to articulate over obstacles.

You should buy the ARRMA Steering Block 4x4 if your primary concern is maintaining the factory-correct steering response of your truck. If you are rebuilding a chassis after a crash, or if you are building a custom project that requires the original geometry to remain intact, this is the component you need. It ensures that when you turn the servo, the wheels turn exactly where they are supposed to, preserving the track width and steering angle intended by the engineers. However, you should skip this product entirely if you are looking for something that adds towing capacity or if you own a different brand of vehicle, as the dimensions and mounting points will not align with anything outside the specific ARRMA ecosystem. It is a maintenance part, not an add-on.
The INJORA Aluminum Trailer Tow represents a shift from internal mechanics to external utility. Designed specifically for the TRX4M platform, this kit includes two pieces of CNC-machined aluminum hitch assemblies. The material choice here is significant; aluminum offers a high strength-to-weight ratio, meaning you get a hitch that can handle real-world pulling forces without adding excessive bulk to the rear of your vehicle. The inclusion of a red tow hook adds a touch of visual flair, but the brass ball embedded within the design is the functional heart of the product, ready to connect to a trailer coupler.
What makes this product particularly interesting for the serious hobbyist is its compatibility. It is engineered to integrate seamlessly with both the stock bumpers of the TRX4M and third-party bumpers from INJORA themselves. This flexibility means you do not have to strip your truck down to find a mounting solution. The design allows for a straightforward installation that turns a standard rock crawler into a utility vehicle capable of hauling accessories. The brass ball is a classic choice for towing applications, known for its resistance to corrosion and ability to hold a secure connection under tension.
You should choose the INJORA Aluminum Trailer Tow if you plan to use your RC car for more than just navigating rocky terrain. Imagine taking your truck to a local show and using it to pull a miniature boat, or setting up a camping scenario where you need to transport gear. The mention of bike racks in your requirements highlights a perfect use case: attaching a lightweight bike rack to the back of your crawler to carry spare tires or tools. This is a functional upgrade that changes what your vehicle can do. Conversely, you should skip this if you are looking for a replacement for broken steering components or if you own a vehicle that does not support the TRX4M bumper mount style. It is an expansion pack for your toy, not a repair part for the drivetrain.
• Best for Core Steering Geometry → Choose ARRMA Steering Block 4x4, as it is dimensioned specifically for the internal linkage of 4x4 ARRMA trucks.
• Best for Towing and Hauling → Choose INJORA Aluminum Trailer Tow, featuring a CNC aluminum build and brass ball designed for pulling loads.
• Best for Specific Brand Compatibility → Select ARRMA if you own an ARRMA 4x4 model; select INJORA if you own a TRX4M or compatible crawler.
• Best for Visual Customization → The INJORA option includes a red tow hook that adds a pop of color and style to the rear of the vehicle.
• Best for Durability Under Load → The CNC machined aluminum of the INJORA hitch is superior for bearing the shear forces of towing a trailer.
• Best for Internal Suspension Repair → If your steering knuckle is damaged, the ARRMA block is the direct replacement needed to restore function.
• Best for Versatility → The INJORA tow hitch opens up new play scenarios, such as carrying bike racks or trailers, which the steering block cannot facilitate.
In my opinion, the decision comes down to whether you are fixing your truck or expanding it. If your vehicle is struggling to steer straight or if you need a replacement part to finish a rebuild, the ARRMA Steering Block 4x4 is the only correct path forward. It restores the fundamental physics of your machine. However, if your truck is running well and you are bored with just crawling rocks, I would recommend the INJORA Aluminum Trailer Tow. It transforms the experience entirely. Specifically, for those looking to carry bike racks or other accessories, the INJORA hitch provides the necessary hardware to make that happen securely. I would buy the INJORA Aluminum Trailer Tow first because it adds a layer of fun and utility that goes beyond mere maintenance, turning a static crawler into a dynamic utility vehicle.
No, these products serve completely different functions. The INJORA hitch is an external towing accessory for the rear bumper, while the ARRMA block is an internal steering component. They are not interchangeable.
Typically, fasteners are sold separately or included based on the specific packaging configuration, so check the current package contents before purchasing to ensure you have all necessary hardware.
Yes, the design includes a brass ball and tow hook specifically intended for connecting trailers or accessories, making it suitable for mounting a bike rack or similar lightweight cargo carrier.
