Welcome to our ARPES group website!
This website is designed to disseminate our research activities and to encourage researchers to delve into the beauty of the electronic structure that governs physical properties of materials. Our research focuses on understanding the electronic structure of low-dimensional quantum materials. These materials host non-generic quantum properties, primarily driven by topology, correlation, and the fine balance between electron and hole concentrations near the Fermi level—along with remarkable tunability of spin-orbit coupling.
To obtain a direct, momentum-resolved view of the low-energy electronic structure, we employ state-of-the-art angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy (ARPES), using both laboratory-based and synchrotron radiation-based photon sources.
