I am a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Health Studies Program at Bryn Mawr College, Pennsylvania. My research and teaching interests lie at the intersections of medicine, health, sexuality, and the body. My pedagogical and research outlook is global, and I am particularly interested in South Asia. I am currently working on my book project on the history of sexology in late 19th to mid-20th century India which is based on my doctoral dissertation. I have published peer-reviewed articles on sexology in India. I am also working on articles and book chapters on endocrinology, sexually transmitted infections, as well as the overlap of colonial ethnography and sexology. The courses I teach are highly interdisciplinary, offering an introduction to the field of medical humanities and health studies. I also offer seminars on the history and sociology of pandemics and epidemics, as well as advanced courses on global sexual and reproductive health and chronic diseases.
