Professional & Academic information
I am currently on contract as a Tutor with AIMS-Cameroon. My job there consists in providing general assistance to the Academic Director and the Lecturers with the academic program:
Assist with problem-solving classes and computer labs;
Provide group and personal tutorials where needed;
Assist lecturers in assessing student performance on a continuous basis;
Prepare teaching materials and examples as needed;
Support academic outreach towards development and diffusion/delivery of educational resources for the teaching and learning of mathematical sciences in secondary and higher education within the country;
Support students during community service (give back sessions);
Produce reports of your activities when it is needed by the Centre. Report templates will be presented to you on a case by case basis.
Furthermore, it is expected that tutors will continue an active interest in their research.
I completed my Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Regina on August 2024, under the supervision of Prof. Martin Frankland and Prof. Donald Stanley. During my studies here, I was part of the Regina Topology and Geometry Group. Hence, I had the opportunity to build my research and teaching skills.
Prior to my Ph.D. studies, I completed a Post-graduate Certificate in Education of Mathematics from the HTTC of the University of Bamenda in 2017. I believe this corresponds to a Professional B Certificate, which confers eligibility to teach a specified subject (Mathematics, in my case) to students in all grades in Saskatchewan schools.
