Take a break from the stress of this semester and join us virtually for the Southeast Chapter of the Art Libraries Society of North America (ARLIS/SE) 2021 Annual Conference, hosted from the University of South Carolina Beaufort, on October 14-15, 2021!

We are hosting 90 minutes of lightning round presentations on topics of open access in the arts, engaging faculty through service design, collection development policies for small academic libraries, assessment, creativity in libraries, accessibility of ARLIS/NA’s video content, and building communities of practice in makerspaces. Take a look at the conference program here.

We are also very proud to present Artist/Librarian Sauda Mitchell as our keynote speaker! Sauda Mitchell will discuss the role of archival research in the creation of her prints and artist books.

Other programming events include a morning drawing meditation by USCB art professor Joanna Angell, a live virtual tour of the Reconstruction Era Museum in Beaufort (where Reconstruction began), access to asynchronous virtual programming on the history of Beaufort, virtual ocean minutes, a raffle, mentoring opportunities, and a happy hour presentation about a local old school video game, Bugs ‘N Boo Hags, by USCB professor Dr. Brian Canada, and more.

Once the conference begins and you are registered, you will be provided with access to a special site for attendees. Conference rates are $35 for regular conference attendance, $20 for first-time attendees, and $10 for students/retirees/in-between positions.

We hope you join us,
