This Privacy Policy describes how CherrySoft ("we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, and discloses your information when you use the "Device Cleaner Toolkit" application (the "App") on iOS. It also explains your privacy rights under various data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the CPRA, and the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act (VCDPA).
By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information We Do NOT Collect
We are committed to a privacy-first design. Therefore, we want to be explicitly clear about what we do not do:
We do not collect or store any of your personal data on our servers. All data processing occurs locally on your device.
We do not upload your photos, contacts, calendar events, or files to our servers or any third-party servers.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data with anyone.
2. Information We Process Locally on Your Device
The App requires access to certain data on your device to provide its core functions. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible by us. You grant this access through the standard iOS permission system.
Photos/Media: To enable the "Picture Cleaner & Compressor" feature, the App needs access to your photo library. It analyzes photos locally to identify duplicates, blurry images, or screenshots for cleanup or compression. Your photos are never transmitted from your device.
Contacts: To enable the "Contact Cleaner & Backup" feature, the App needs access to your contacts. It processes this information locally to find and merge duplicates. If you choose to create a backup, it is stored locally on your device or in your private iCloud Drive, which is controlled by Apple's privacy policy.
Calendar Events: To enable the "Calendar Management" feature, the App needs access to your calendars. It processes event information locally to help you manage and clean up your schedules.
Files/Documents: To enable the "File Vault" feature, the App needs access to your local file storage or iCloud Drive to encrypt and store files you choose to move to the vault. These files are encrypted and remain on your device or your personal iCloud storage.
3. Data Sharing and Disclosure
Since we do not collect your personal data, we do not share it with any third parties. The App's functionality is self-contained on your device.
4. Data Security
We implement robust technical measures within the App to protect your data on your device. The "File Vault" feature, for example, uses strong encryption. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your data locally, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
5. Your Data Protection Rights
Even though we do not host your data, you have rights concerning your personal information. This App is designed to help you exercise these rights directly.
Access, Correction, and Deletion: You can access, correct, or delete your photos, contacts, and calendar events directly through the App's functionality or through your device's native applications.
Data Portability: The backup feature allows you to create a portable copy of your contacts for your own use.

GDPR (For users in the European Economic Area - EEA and UK): You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing of your data, and data portability. As stated, we do not process your data on our servers, but we will facilitate your requests to the extent applicable to the App's operation.
CCPA/CPRA (For California residents): You have the right to know about personal information collected, used, and disclosed. You have the right to delete personal information and to non-discrimination. Since we do not collect or sell your personal information, many of these obligations do not directly apply, but we fully support your privacy rights.
VCDPA (For Virginia residents): You have the right to confirm, access, correct, delete your personal data, and opt-out of the sale of personal data or targeted advertising. Again, as we do not engage in these activities, the core principle of your data remaining on your device fulfills the spirit of these rights.
We will respond to all legitimate requests within the timeframes required by law.
6. International Data Transfers
All your data remains on your device, which may be located in your country of residence or elsewhere. We do not transfer any personal data internationally.
7. Children's Privacy
Our App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13.
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
