Ark helps your family prepare for emergencies. It is built so that your information stays with you.
What stays on your phone. Your household details, kit lists, dates, the family plan, emergency cards and document photos are stored only on your device. We have no servers that receive them, and Ark has no accounts.
Documents. Document photos you add are encrypted on your device with AES-256. The key is kept in your phone's secure keychain and the documents open only after Face ID, fingerprint or your passcode. They are not backed up by Ark and cannot be recovered by us.
Location. Ark reads your location only when you tap "We're leaving" in Now mode, to add a map link to the text message you send to your family. It is not stored or sent anywhere else, and Ark never tracks you in the background.
Camera and photos. Used only when you take or choose a photo for a document or a family card.
Notifications. Reminders about expiry dates are scheduled on your device.
Purchases. Purchases are processed by Apple or Google. We use RevenueCat to check whether Premium is active; it receives an anonymous app user ID and your purchase receipts, not your name or the content of the app. See revenuecat.com/privacy.
No tracking. Ark contains no advertising, analytics or tracking.
Children. Ark is meant for adults preparing their family; children's cards are created and kept by parents on their own device.
Deleting data. Delete the app to remove everything it stored.
