Ari Silver Music
River Falls, Wisconsin may not seem like a hotbed of bluegrass music, but Ari Silver’s childhood was filled with the recorded sounds of Bill Monroe, The Stanley Brothers, and his Dad’s bluegrass and Americana bands. At the age of 10, Ari took to the acoustic guitar like a horse to water. He would tag along to his Dad’s gigs whenever he could, and it wasn’t long before he was asked to sit in with the band. Little did he know that there were other kids in the region that had a similar experience. It was at the Minnesota Bluegrass and Old Time Music Festival that he encountered four other young pickers and a connection was made. The quintet, all in their teens and early 20s, performed at an open stage and surprised the audience with an incredibly tight and energetic set. Since then, Ari has been performing with the Silver River Band at area festivals, receiving accolades from new and old bluegrass fans. As the band leader, Ari has brought in an exciting repertoire that features their take on the classics plus some dynamic arrangements of tunes seldom herd in the bluegrass genre. The end result is a sound that is reminiscent of pickers that have performed for decades. One thing is for sure, Ari and his band will leave an audience wanting more from this group of talented players!
