I wrote a review of Cloud, and answered the question "Does Cloud smell like BR 540" on my blog, Enchant Fragrance. My site is ad-free, and I don't get paid for clicks or visits, so you're welcome to just read the content below. But, I do put a little time into photos and formatting for people who care to visit the site, so here is a link to the post if you'd like to see it in all its glory: -grande-cloud-fragrance-review/

Inside the holiday set, there were three items in addition to the cassette tape inspired tin. This included the Ariana Grande Cloud Eau de Parfum (3.4 ounces), the Ariana Grande Cloud Parfum (0.25 ounces), and the Ariana Grande Cloud Bath and Shower Gel (2.5 ounces). Essentially, this means there was a full-sized version of Cloud (with that gorgeous blue bottle and white cloud holder) and a mini version as well. I actually took the mini version with me when my family went to California last month. It was the ideal travel size. Plus, the mini still looked super cute and maintained that fun cloud inspired design. Then there was the bath and shower gel. I love this. It has an ornament inspired design that is so fun and festive. Also, this body wash smells incredible. I wish the Ariana Grande Cloud Bath and Shower Gel was sold separately so it was something I could use regularly. Alas, this set came with a fairly small amount. However, it is something that I will happily continue to use.

According to the product listing on Ulta Beauty's website, Cloud Eau de Parfum is an "uplifting scent that imbues a thoughtful, artistic expression of positivity and happiness." The fragrance combines hints of lavender, pear, bergamot with coconut, praline and vanilla orchid, all pulled together with a base component of cashmere, just like your favorite, most comfy sweater. The 3.4 oz product is sold for $60 and comes in the cutest collectable cloud bottle.

But to give you full disclosure, I am writing this after THREE cloud macchiatos, because, hey, I had to recipe develop the cloud out of this to get it perfect! So if I seem a little sassy or wired today, I totally am.

Cloud is a fitting name for the scent, as it's a recurring image in her life and work. Before Sweetener's release, she told Vogue that her sound is that of "a '90s baby catapulted into this cloud of polished pop dust, and the six million different personalities singing a bunch of harmonies together." Because of this, and the cloud emoji that often accents her Instagram stories and tweets, plus a cloud tattoo on her knuckle, it makes sense that Ari extended it to something tangible her fans can enjoy with her.

As much as Sweetener felt like a departure from her previous sounds, and "Thank U, Next" even more so, Cloud is also a departure from Ari's original and often reinterpreted bottle shape: the diamond-cut grenade with pom-pom accent. Cloud is shaped like, well, a cloud, with a rainbow, or sun, (or moon?) peeking out behind it, capped by another cloud. It's literal, fun, and cute.

This scent may miss the somewhat obvious opportunity to include an ozone note, but it does a great job of re-creating it, sort of making a cloudy, electric accord that smells like the street after a summer rain; think a more assertive, juicier CK2. It feels alive, like walking through fog, or a cloud. 006ab0faaa
