CHAPTER 1: ARIA
“So, how are we supposed to do this…?” Nathan muttered to himself. He needed a way to prank his sister Aria, and her clubmates Chloe, Elaine, and Mandy.
Plan Number One: Put cockroaches in the Dogs Club House in Mandy’s backyard. Nathan thought and took out his planning notebook that said, Snakes Rule! in big, chunky letters. Nathan suddenly heard a creak! He whipped around and shut his notebook tight, only to realize that the creak made by Aria, barging into his room.
“Hi, Nathan!” She said, all bubbly like. “Whatcha doing?”
“Can you just go away?” Nathan grumbled. “Like, can you just chill and stop barging into my room and actually read the sign on my door that says, “Keep Out” for once?”
“Whatever,” Aria rolled her eyes, her cheerfulness melting away like snow under the glaring sun. “I just wanted to tell you that grandma is making chocolate chip cookies in the kitchen.”
“I don’t like chocolate chip cookies anyway. Get out of my room!” Nathan yelled.
“Okay, geez. Don’t be so sensitive.” Aria called as she shut the door behind her and flounced down the stairs.
Nathan devoted his precious time to devising an evil plan. His paper looked like this:
Nathan’s Evil Plan mwahahaha
Plan A: Put cockroaches in the Dogs Club House (A.K.A. the house thingy dingy in Mandy’s backyard)
Plan B: Log into the Dogs website on Aria’s laptop and mess it up!
Plan C: Idk annoy them??
He admired his work. Holding the paper up to the sun, he scanned the page for mistakes. None, as usual!
“MWAHAHAHA!” Nathan tried doing an evil laugh. “Never mind. That sounds weird.”
“NATHAN!” His mom yelled from downstairs. “TIME FOR DINNER!”
“YEAH, POO-POO HEAD!” Aria yelled too.
Nathan rolled his eyes and tucked his paper into a drawer. “COMING!” He shouted.
He ran down the stairs to see Aria grinning smugly at him.
“What is it?!” He hissed, shoving her to the wall.
“Elaine and Mandy are coming over!” Aria laughed. “MWAHAHAHA!” Her laugh sounded much better than his.
“Ugh. What about Jayden?” Nathan groaned.
“He’s at hockey practice! Sorry!” Aria grinned as Nathan pushed past her. “Not sorry!”
With Aria bouncing behind him, they entered the kitchen.
“I made dumplings today!” Their mom sang. “Get a fork!”
They opened a side drawer and pulled out a fork each and sat down at the table. Their mom came and set down two plates for Nathan and Aria. Then she went back and set two more plates on the other side of the table.
“Wha-?” Nathan mumbled with a mouthful of dumplings.
“For Mandy and Elaine, obviously!” Aria taunted him.
Just then, the doorbell rang.
“Yay!” Aria jumped up and rushed to the door. “GUYS!” She opened the door and practically jumped on Mandy.
“AHHH!” Mandy pushed her away.
